My stay at the hotel was overall pleasant with excellent rooms that are top-notch and very comfortable. The service was incredibly welcoming and friendly, making my visit enjoyable. The location is great, particularly for the woodland walks, but the dining experience left something to be desired. While the facilities are lovely, the high prices at the Italian restaurant were unexpected.

Rooms

The rooms were excellent, spacious, and very high quality, providing a lovely atmosphere for relaxation.
Service

The service was second to none, extremely welcoming and helpful at all times. They promptly found us another room when needed.
Location

I loved the location, especially the scenic woodland walk. It felt tranquil and was perfect for unwinding.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was a bit of a disaster, though the Italian restaurant offered great food, it was quite pricey.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were good, but the pool area had leftover floats from earlier, which made it feel less maintained.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful grounds and lovely forest walks. The spacious rooms had everything I needed, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We dined at Franchinis on the first night, which was a delightful experience. However, while the facilities were decent, I felt like a few amenities could use some improvement for a truly luxurious experience.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel! The rooms were luxurious and spacious, with beautiful views of the garden. The service from the staff was exceptional; they were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The dining experience was a bit hit or miss, with some dishes not living up to the rest of the food quality. Overall, it's a great value for money, but a few improvements in dining would make it even better.

Rooms
10.0
The rooms were luxurious and spacious, with stunning views out to the garden. I was truly impressed by how modern and big the space was; it was definitely one of the nicest hotel rooms I've stayed in around Ireland.
Service
10.0
The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond, even during the busy Christmas period. The reception and porters were exceptionally helpful, making our stay feel special.
Location
9.0
The hotel is located in a lovely old-world setting, not far from a charming village with plenty of dining options to suit every budget. The surroundings were peaceful and inviting.
Dining
5.0
While some dishes were delicious, others were overcooked and cold, which was disappointing. The soup of the day paired with a sandwich was less than satisfying, especially since the sandwich felt small and not very appealing.
Facilities
9.0
The hotel had wonderful facilities, including a lovely pool and spa area that added to our experience. Everything was well-maintained and enjoyable.

I had a wonderful time at the hotel, enjoying the spacious room with a lovely little garden. The staff was super friendly and eager to engage with us. However, the dining options fell short of what I expected from a five-star establishment, and I think they could improve. The location was simply gorgeous, especially with the beautiful gardens and the helpful tours offered.

Rooms
10.0
The room was on the ground floor and felt like a mini suite, spacious and perfect for our stay. We wished we could have stayed an extra night!
Service
9.0
The service was extremely friendly and helpful. The staff really made an effort to ensure we were enjoying our stay.
Location

The location is superb with an idyllic setting and lush gardens. It’s a peaceful getaway, perfect for relaxation.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was not great for a five-star hotel; the buffet lacked variety and the à la carte options weren't presented well.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were decent, but I felt they could offer more value considering the hotel’s rating.

7.2/10

I had a lovely stay at the hotel, especially since the rooms were spacious, clean, and even had their own little garden, which was perfect for my pup. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home, although I did notice some organization issues. The location provided a great sense of space, but it felt a little remote, which might not suit everyone. The dining experience was good, but the breakfast selection could be improved, especially for a five-star establishment.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms were big, comfortable, and impeccably clean, and I particularly enjoyed the huge junior suite with a little garden for my dog.
Service
7.0
The staff were fantastic and very helpful; they made our baby feel so welcome by providing a little dressing gown, which was a sweet touch. However, there seemed to be a shortage of staff, which caused some delays.
Location
7.0
The location was large and spacious, but a bit remote, lacking the character of some other hotels in the same price range.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was a bit of a letdown due to limited options and slow service, although the overall dining was good.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had good facilities, but I felt they could benefit from better organization and attention to detail.
